What is SMTP Relay Service?

SMTP Relay service is SMTP gate situated in datacenter. It is capable to get mail for your mailserver and redirect it in certain direction - to mailserver of your company. In common SMTP gate is registered as additional mailserver for your domain (MX entry) with shrinked priority. This is made in order not to lose mail in case of inacessibility of main mailserver. Mail will be forwarded to gate and will be left there until main server is reachable.
